Wealth and Investment Management (WIM) businesses build enduring client relationships through sound, thoughtful and objective advice. Services include comprehensive planning and advice, investment management, brokerage, private banking, estate planning strategies, trust, and both individual and institutional retirement.
The Operations Performance Reporting Team maintains and validates the data and systems that deliver manager composite and client investment performance returns for nearly 7 million Wells Fargo Advisors accounts, including both Advisory and Retail accounts. Reporting is run daily, weekly, and monthly to ensure that the data is as clean as possible, to make the month end process as smooth as possible. The team has strict standards in regard to timely processing of accounts and service level needs, so prioritization is key.
The Performance Analyst 1 will develop a detailed understanding of performance reporting concepts, including how other departments impact our work stream; prioritize heavy workloads so that firm standards are met in regard to timely processing of accounts and service level needs; work with other departments to provide highest levels of customer service; utilize internal software tools to analyze account data and resolve performance errors; communicate with various operational departments and the field to resolve source system issues; and acts as primary point of contact for financial advisors (FAs) and other team members regarding the data calculations and report presentation.
With some direction from more experienced Performance Analysts and/or management, collects data and analyzes investment performance results for use in developing reports for clients, pension consultants, and senior management. Also verifies the accuracy of all portfolio and benchmark performance results and monitors performance trends.
Hours for this position are relatively flexible, with team members working 8-hour shifts with start times between 7:00 and 9:00 AM. Overtime may be available, specifically at each quarter end. The team does have a responsibility to monitor phone lines until 6:00 PM, and team members share responsibility using a rotating schedule, in which each team member will sign up in advance for 1 or 2 days each month.
1+ year of performance analysis experience
Strong attention to detail and accuracy skills.
Ability to work independently, proactively, innovatively, and creatively while exercising sound judgment.
2+ years of brokerage operations experience.
Outstanding problem solving and decision making skills.
Knowledge and understanding of basic securities accounting.
Experience assessing and meeting the needs of customers and solving customer problems.
Ability to think creatively to find innovative solutions to complex analytical questions.
Experience collecting, recording, analyzing and processing information or data.
Strong telephone etiquette skills.
Knowledge and understanding of securities industry and securities processing/operations.
Ability to research, trend, and analyze data.
Ability to consult, build, and maintain solid working relationships in and outside of immediate department.
Ability to identify risk factors and ensure enactment of appropriate controls.
Microsoft Excel spreadsheets experience importing, exporting, and manipulating data.
Ability to independently provide summary and recommendations on operational data.
Ability to work effectively, as well as independently, in a team environment.
FINRA registration including Series 7 (or FINRA recognized equivalents).
Other Desired Qualifications
Ability to work as part of a team and collaborate with others to meet service level agreements and complete daily goals.
Extensive knowledge and understanding of finance and financial data, especially those data related to mutual fund products.
Ability to work additional hours as needed

The salary range displayed below is based on a Full-time 40 hour a week schedule. Min: $40,300 Mid: $56,000.
