Our Global Banking & Markets division serves mid- to large-sized corporations and institutional clients worldwide. It is comprised of Business Banking, Global Commercial Banking, Global Corporate & Investment Banking, Global Markets, Global Transaction Services, and Wholesale Credit. Aligned with these client-facing groups are Global Capital Markets and Global Research.

Global Markets offers sales and trading services, including research, to institutional clients across fixed-income, credit, currency, commodity and equity businesses. Global Markets product coverage includes securities and derivative products in both the primary and secondary markets.

Global Markets provides financing, securities clearing, settlement and custody services globally to our institutional investor clients in support of their investing and trading activities. We also work with our commercial and corporate clients to provide risk management products using interest rate, equity, credit, currency and commodity derivatives, foreign exchange, fixed-income and mortgage-related products.

Position Overview:

Located in New York, NY, the Equities HR Sales & Trading Executive (HRE) will be highly regarded with an excellent track record in his or her current environment. She/he will serve as the primary HR partner for the Sales and Trading Function across the Equities division. Supporting key senior executives, the HRE will develop and execute tactical, data driven plans at the business unit level to achieve strategic objectives, and combine strong organizational development skills and change management skills with core HR skills (talent acquisition, compensation, employee relations) to support each business in achieving their objectives.

This is a high impact role supporting senior business leaders with global mandates in one of our eight core lines of business at Bank of America. The successful candidate will be a strong, results oriented leader who can develop and manage relationships across the company and with a wide variety of partners based on trust, teamwork and knowledge. The following details specific responsibilities for this critical role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drives initiatives focused on culture & conduct, employee satisfaction, diversity, learning, and leadership development
  • Ensures OpEx initiatives such as organizational health remain at the forefront of workforce planning
  • Leads the year-end compensation process and partners with comp on recommended in year market assessments
  • Participates in talent planning initiatives including critical assessment of talent, employee development, coaching and resource rationalization
  • Designs, develops, and delivers on organizational development / effectiveness initiatives focused on improving performance, productivity, and team cohesiveness
  • Partner with business leadership, talent acquisition, finance and compensation on headcount planning, end-to-end hiring and offer process
  • Engage with Employee Relations, Legal and/or Compliance teams on people related situations across all client groups; stays aware and engaged with teams to identify trends early and drive appropriate interventions
  • On-boards new executives, and provides executive coaching on an ongoing basis
  • Leads/Participates in LOB HR initiatives
  • Participate in global initiatives across the Global Markets HR team

Required Knowledge, Skills, Experience, and Education:

  • 10+ years of HR experience that includes Generalist experience and broad experience across all areas of HR
  • Ability to operate with utmost confidentiality and discretion
  • Extensive experience in client management around complex strategic HR issues such as talent management, org design/development, change management, etc.
  • Proven ability to influence using a balance of technical HR expertise, business acumen, and relationship skills
  • Proven track record in developing strategy and driving change to help drive business results and execute on key initiatives
  • Experience in analyzing and interpreting organizational and workforce planning data and being able to tell a story around it
  • Experience managing in a fast-paced, rapidly-changing, geographically dispersed and highly complex environment
  • Strong relationship management skills and the ability to develop strong interpersonal alliances at all levels
  • Ability to effectively partner with other key leaders across HR such as Staffing, Learning, Leadership & Development and Compensation, in addition to support partners in Finance, Operations, Compliance and Technology
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills including Excel and Powerpoint; excellent communication and presentation skills
